FrozenBit is an emerging multi-industry group building independent companies across software, hardware, entertainment and commerce — headquartered in Accra, Ghana.
What FrozenBit is
FrozenBit is a group: a family of independent companies held together by ownership, capital and a common standard rather than by a shared logo on a shared product. Each division has its own name, its own team and its own relationship with the people it serves. What they share is who backs them and what they will not ship.
Why eight industries
Because concentration is a risk and patience is an advantage. A group that only does one thing lives and dies by one market. A group that spans software, hardware, entertainment and commerce can let a slow business be slow, and can move a capability — engineering, story, distribution — from where it exists to where it is needed.
Where we start
Software, because that is what we can already do to a standard we are willing to defend. Four platforms are in market and running. Everything else in the group is being built from that base, deliberately, rather than announced and then figured out.
Where we are
Accra, Ghana. FrozenBit is registered at the Office of the Registrar of Companies under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). The group builds for this market first, because it is the one we understand — and because software written for these conditions turns out to work anywhere.
How we build
Three principles, applied to every company in the group.
Independent brands
Each company keeps its own identity and its own customers. The group provides capital, standards and patience — not a logo stamped over everything.
One engineering standard
SoftBit builds to a single bar across the group: offline-first where it matters, secure by default, honest about exactly what a product does.
Built to hold
We start where we can be excellent, then compound. Nothing ships that we wouldn't put the FrozenBit name on. Slower is fine. Fragile is not.
